Let’s commend the Apple Marketing Team for doing such a great job of making privacy with the Apple iPhone relatable and relevant. If only the privacy advocacy community had a $2 Trillion valuation and access to the best advertising talent in the world perhaps the issue of privacy with the Apple iPhone would be solved already! In one short video we can all see how oversharing while you use your smartphone suddenly impacts your well-being.
Privacy with the Apple iPhone is a different approach to consumer advertising but let’s keep our wits about us. Remember, Apple is in the middle of an Epic lawsuit (get it?) over their Apple Store revenue. At the same time, Apple has pulled back their promise to curtail monitoring in iOS 14 – is that because privacy with the Apple iPhone is truly a priority or because Apple just doesn’t have a means to profit from tracking you like Facebook, Google, and others?
